We went trick or treating with our friend Chad and his son. Even more over the top than we imagined. Lavinia had to be restrained from stealing kids' candy
Us and Chad eating biscuits and gravy for breakfast. They are basically scones served with greasy rich white gravy. Southern specialty. At time of writing we are in south stacking on the kgs.
Brendan. Moody and cool in Haight Ashbury (or at least trying). Lavinia moody and resentful for having to be in rain to take photo.
If we were feeling homesick, SF would have cured it by serving up some Melbourne weather. We weren't, so all it did was ruin our photos.

Yes, an actual rug store. We were official observers which prevented Lavinia from talking to anyone (unfortunately masking tape was required).
The only surviving evidence of our visit to Vegas. It was grotty and seedy and sad. We emerged triumphant though, gambling and winning . Take that Vegas!
