Dawn's homestay

Location: Thailand

I was the first volunteer ever at this school.

At a party with the beautiful teachers!

Having dinner in the office with the teachers afterschool. We eat a lot here!

This is the Governor of the province, I met him at a local festival! (wearing our special pink shirts that show respect for the royal family.)

Picnic at a waterfall, one of the many adventures my hosts took me on!

Learning how to plant rice in the rice paddies!

With teacher Ning, who found Volunthai on the web and requested me!

Playing Simon Says!

Teaching new vocabulary (in the Thai suit that the school gave to me)

I learned traditional Thai dance and performed it in front of all the students!

I am in that picture somewhere. :)

This was the best part of my day, sitting with the students just talking. I never left the office without my Thai-English dictionary, little notebook to draw, my pictures from America, my camera, and most importantly-- my ipod!

Dinner with my host family. :)
