Rush Phari Trek 01

Rush Phari

From Hoper we decent down into the glacial valley. A dry and hot scramble

Hoper village

We take a break in the ablation valley on Hoper glaciers other side

Hope glacier is a mass of dirty ice and rock

We stop and set up camp, climbing the glacial moraine for a view down the valley. Tomorrow we will asend the mountain to the right, a mad scramble of vertical switchbacks for half a day

Then continue following the valley

The sunset and distant peaks of Ultar are a beautiful sight

Some grueling climbing rewards us with amazing panoramas

Sunrise equally stunning

Sumayar glacier snakes its way down from the mountains

Distant peaks rise above the clouds
