Eating Off The Floor

Location: Sompoi, Thailand

Views from the school and our homestay to give a sense of life halfway across the world.

25 Jan 2007, 5:31PM

Only a hug from Yai will do...Sometimes you just need a hug.

24 Jan 2007, 12:37PM

Piggy and John address the Sompoi student body about two scholarships offered by Volunthai. We had 4 students apply and it was impossible to say no to any of them.

26 Jan 2007, 8:02PM

We came to know and love all these people. These members of Nam's extended family were frequent visitors and game players.

These beautiful ladies are really boys dressed for the province-wide high school competition in Thai singing/dancing.

Proof positive that Timmy can do ALL the dishes and still have fun!

27 Jan 2007, 6:56AM

Hey! You're supposed to wear your shoes on your feet!

Chris... being Chris.

27 Jan 2007, 8:30AM

Our hero! (and the recipient of 9th place in the women's division of the Rasisalai 10K).

28 Jan 2007, 9:23AM

Pom's parents gave us the royal treatment and our favorite dish thus far in Thailand ("lahp"-made with spicy minced liver and pork)

27 Jan 2007, 12:56PM

One of our biggest leaps of faith was letting Namlek(13) take our kids down Main Street on her bike. She always merited our trust. We're hoping Namlek will come to the states one day as an exchange student.
