A trip to Pacaya Volcano

Location: Antigua, Guatemala

We decided to venture out of Antigua to see the active volcano Pacaya. Sadly it was a cloudy afternoon and we couldn{t see the volcano but the 8 kms of hardened molten rock was incredible. The pictures do not do it justice.

The piles of rock go in every direction. It is sharp like coral and much of it is still hot and steaming.

The rock that Alyssa is standing by is only two weeks old. This is in a farmers field.

30 cows died in the explosion, but many have adjusted to their new environment.

This is the inside of La Merced my favorite Cathedral.

If the fountain can hold its breasts so can we!
