Location: Cairns / Great Barrier Reef, Australia

hello people,

just got back from a great day on a boat on the great barrier reef, weather was perfect for it!
went snorkeling and suba diving, it was amaaaaaazing! still can't believe i actually saw the great barrier reef!
hired an underwater camera, so check out some of my coral and nemo photos! :) yes, i saw nemo! (melbourne photos when i have time to hook up my camera to the computer..)
the tour was absoutely fabulous, not the least because of the truly amazing crew of Passions of Paradise! if anyone wants to take a tour of the reef, they're definitely the ones to go for!! ask me for details, but i can promise here that they're really really great!

Interesting facts i noticed about australia:
- they have two buttons on the toilet flush, one being a half flush to save water.
- they hand out biodegradable plastic bags in supermarkets, but still sell drinking cans.
- "thongs" is the australian word for flip-flops, and NOT womens underwear, as i thought.. :-D

funny, really.. kept reading things about tours and stuff where they said "no thongs" and i thought how rude, that's none of their business! ;)

still have the feeling of being on a boat, which nearly feels worse than the weird dizzy sensation i had for about two days after my flight to oz.. (and no, it was not caused by the booze in melbourne, in case anyone was wondering.. ;) ) poor me, haha!
