Another day another dollar they say!! we finished up the snagging and got the lists typed up. There nwas nothing too exciting to report today, after work i went to the internet cafe and booked my flight to Port elizabeth on Friday.. With friday being a half day, i am going to catch a flight to Port Elizabeth and then drive back the garden Route. It is about an 11 hour one way trip by car, so unfortunately as i only have weekends to do these trips i will fly down and drive back. I am really looking forward to it! a weekend all to my self!!
Today we set about doing a count! with so many houses after being built and unfortunately not all in the same area/plot the houses are in the general vacinity of each other, but not like an estate as people have the right to choose their contractor . so we went about to tag all of the charity's houses, basically a stock take of whats started. with the take over and everything, the numbers were getting grey! so out we went! to date they have 340 houses 98% complete. they are starting on the next batch shortly within the next few week, unfortunately i won't be around for that burst. While i was at curves yesterday evening i bumped into an irish lady that i had gotten chattin to a few times. she invited me over for coffee, so we said we would go tonight. The Irish who have houses over here don't skimp! it was beautiful. nessled into the hill looking down to Hout bay over Champmans peak... the scenery was enough! Turns out the her husband is Naill Mellons first cousin and is involved in niall's charity and Marian Finucane charity. He gave me a number to call to go and see the work that they are doing. They are mainly in AIDS orphanages. So hopefully we will get to go. They are in the township next to Mfuleni. It is probably one of the worst townships around. we were told to bring a few packs of tissues.....
