Our intention today is to go to the Cape of good hope and Cape Point. So I was up fairly early. we had compromised on the time, i wanted to leave at 9, Niamh at 11, so we picked 10. we left at 11!!! We started the drive going over Chapmans Peak and down to the cape point nature reserve. The drive was really lovely. the weather was fantastic, but just very windy. we took our time traveling down and took all the photos etc at the cape of good hope. cape point and the lighthouse. It really was lovely. it is where the two oceans meet, indian and Atlantic Oceans. we saw some wild Ostridges on the way back too! On the way back there are towns called simonstown and Muizenberg we stopped in simons town for lunch, it was like a quieter version of Kinsale only with the sun splitting the stones! It really was beautiful. Niamh wanted to go and look at the marina, but Niamh being Niamh got into the private entrance, i stayed and held the door, as it was a key entry/exit system and we would have had no way out!! one she had her pictures of simon... her friend is called simon and wanted the get the picture of the name simon on a boat, we headed to the next town but unfortunately the sun had set and we missed the sunset on the beach. we then headed to Hout bay and home was a very scenic trip and enjoyed the scenery.. not always the company though!
