Location: Nanning, China

MapWe had 5 hours to kill in Nanning, which is just north of Vietnam. Nanning used to be the main transfer point for shipping arms into Vietnam in the 1960's. As well as that little tidbit, Nanning is known for its Dog Hot Pot - not to be confused with a pot full of hotdogs. We ordered very carefully at the next restaraunt. Fish...lots of fish. I admit after an unsatisfying lunch and the desire to avoid the street vendors selling satay sticks of fido & rover, I succombed to the Golden Arches. It was fantastic.

Off to Kunming... the safest city in China.
