Chris in China

After almost 7 months back in Australia, China is home once again. Nothing really planned for the time until August or September of 2008 just going to travel around and see some of the parts that I haven't seen before and then decide where I am going to base myself and whether I will start teaching again or try something else.

Guiyang,Anshun & Tomb Sweeping

April 2008. Some photos of the Kung Fu Kid in Guiyang - only 2 years old, some other kids in Anshun anout an hour from Guiyang and other photos of the Qing Ming festival (Tomb Sweeping Day) of Lily's family's graves.

 

Guizhou Trip May 2007

Len, Lily and I travelled around most of Guizhou province apart from the north west and south east during the May holiday

 

Tian He Tan and Fishing

Tian He Tan is a small gorge and lake area about 10km from Huaxi which is an outer suburb of Guiyang. The fishing photos are at Lily's cousins place on the outskirts of Guiyang.

 

Luang Prabang Feb 2007

Luang Prabang is the old capital of Laos, it is a beautiful city with tree lined streets, french architectural influence and a relaxed feel.

 

Konglor Cave Feb 2007

Konglor Cave is about 200km east of Vientiane. The cave is 7.5km long with a river passing all the way through it. We travelled the length of the cave in a long dugout canoe with a motor, bloody amazing!

 

Vang Vieng Feb 2007

This really chilled out village was great to relax in for a few days and tubing down the river stopping at all the bars and rope swings was heaps of fun.

An amazingly quiet and sleepy capital.

Len and Lily took me to the largest Miao minority Village in China, the weather was cold and fogging but the village is amazing
