Well World cup Fever is just Amazing. It is just an awesome atmosphere. I thought Canadians were passionate about Hockey. Well soccer in Korea is just as crazy, maybe even more. In Busan, 200, 000 people watching the soccer game on a teletron. Every city the same thing. Its almost like a holiday. Kids don't go to school everyone wears Red. The cheers for Korea are fantastic.
In Seoul, in the dowtown area about 1 million people watched on the streets, like it was NEW YEARS EVE, in NEW YORK. They put huge big sceens little parks where thousands watched. I watched with my friends and Nara. There was a big plasma t.v. at the entrance of the HOF(pub). It usually seats 15-20 people
They set up tables and chairs outside and about 100 people were watching and eating in the parking lot. Kids were running around. It was crazy. When a goal is scored the entire country roars. You can hear the sounds and cheers from everywhere. One co worker was trying to sleep and gave up, because he was woken up by cheers. People are really passionate about korea, But people here also really really hat Japan. So when Japan played Australia, I was startled I heard cheers from my apartment and did not know what they were, everytime The Ausies scored I was in Shock.
Anyways With Korea winning, All is good for now. haha. Next up France. the country cheers on

In addition, I have started to see a girl her name is Nara. She is 25 years old turning 26 in December. She a very nice girl. Nara is a fashion designer for handbags and jewelury. She lived in Vancover, Canada for 2 years.
This summer on july 29th to August 6, I will be travelling to Boracay, Phillipines, and Manila. I wanted to go to Thailand but there was very few seats available. Anyways I have told This Boracay is extremely beautiful and has many places to see.
Aswell, it appears that i will be returning home for late August or the start of September for 2 weeks to visit. I still don't have exact dates as of yet. Moss boss is waiting to see if the new teacher is able to start in mid August to allow me to go then. If this new teacher is able to come early, I will be home in mid August, if not, I will be home at the start of September. I look forward to coming home.
Finally, my korean is coming along, but I will really start to study very hard my korean, as I feel I have been lazy in this area as of late. This will change haha.
Anyways take a look at some pics.

I don't have many new pictures to post up. Anyways I will be resigning at my school for another year come September. I will be home to visit sometime in august or early September. I am not sure of the exact date as of now. I am however making large strides in my korean as my grammar is improving along with my vocabulary. I can say a many phrases and a couple of sentences. I have been able to understand more what Koreans are saying to me which is good. I have watched some Korean films which has been enjoyable and helpful. Well I have been pretty bad at updating this Journal. To be honest I have had a pretty bad couple of weeks at the start of the month of February to the end. I have been working a little extra at work and I have finally finished my apartment.
Lets start with the bad news:
I was offered job at work that would have paid me $400 dollars more month. I accepted but one week later they took it away from me. It was nothing I did it was the fact that they were short a teacher and needed desperately to find a teacher. So I had to stay in my current position. Later that same day I got into an argument with a co-worker who is my best friend here Keith. (We resolved our issues and are friend again)
The Worse News:
I then received some very bad news from home, about an old friend. Then that same day I received more bad news, that was directly related to me, about my sister as her wedding is off. I love you Ali by the way dont worry there is other fish in the sea.
The cherry on TOP to all the bad news:
Clearly I am not having a good weekend. But I tried to put this behind me as it was Jamies birthday. She and I got into an argument, I wont go into details. This led to our eventual break up a week later. It was a very bad week sleeping with my cell in my hand waiting for her to call. It really wasnt either of our faults in my opinion. I really tried to put effort and talk to her on her birthday and distance got in the way. After our argument I did some thinking and like I said the next time we spoke she decided to end the relationship saying it was the best for both of us. I agreed, but was very emotional
As I was saying this was not a good weekend or week for me. Tough times, my dad gave me encouragement and I found some silver lining to this mess. Anyone can see that JEIM meant a great deal to me and when we broke up I told her that. But With help the help of coworkers and support of friends I found strength. I was happy to have met Jamie and glad she has entered my life, and has learned much from her.
On to good News:
That was 3 weeks ago. I was given a raise work last week with where I will be making $200 more a month and will most likely resign with the school at the job that was offered to me before. Also 2 teachers just were hired from our school into an international school which was encouraging as that is my ultimate goal and it was nice to see that our school is highly recognized by the international school system.
More good News:
I have now started dating again I guess. I still get emotional thinking about Jeim, but my coworkers Kind of literally dragged 2 girls over to meet me at school outings and I have gone on a date. But these girls speak very little English. As such I have really started studying my Korean and can read pretty well and I am now text messaging in Korean as well. I have some pronunciation to work on but I understand the Korean grammar now and sentence structure. I am currently studying 40 vocabulary words a week and practice putting into sentences. As well I have re done my apartment take a look.

Well, welcome to the year 2006. I have just finished my first vacation and holidays in seoul. I have had a great first 4 months in Korea during 2005 and I can't wait for 2006. I celebrated new years with my the teachers from work. We had vacation the last week and today is the last day of vacation. Which is good because I can see my students again, but bad because the vacation was very relaxing. I bought a guitar and am starting to learn how to play guitar which is cool. I am also progressing very well in my korean reading and speaking that I have started to do. As you know Je Im is in the middle east, she is doing fine and is in training and her first flight will come in feb. That will be awesome as it will mean I can visit another country on a weekend and see her somewhere in East Asia. My New years resolution is to learn more Korean, Learn Guitar, and to improve communication with friends, family, and Jamie. I will let you know more and update this site more regularly as I have in the last 3 weeks. Happy New year.

Well this was my first christmas away from home, and I missed my family and friends a lot. However I was able to get together with friends here and do a little celebratin. Christmas is not a huge holiday here in Korea but it was still fun. I went out drinking Christmas eve, and went to a secret Santa party (The party was hosted by this Korean Lady Named Su Jin, she is the owner of this bar called bricx that Keith and I go to. She invited all her regular customers and is quite a cool lady). After that I went to a dinner where most of the teachers from school where there at the outback steakhouse. It was awesome. We all had a good time and it was nice to among friends having a good time talking and stuff. Even it was steak dinner and no family memebers it felt a little like it because we were all in the same situations missing family and friends, and just talking about everything was great. Anyways I hope your christmas was happy and jolly, Merry Christmas.

Well here is my first official entry into my webpage diary. I started this up allow friends and family to read and see what is going on in my life. You are also able to post comments and questions on this page.
I have been here for over a month now and there is much to tell. I work at a very reputable school in Seoul, and my co-workers are all very nice and friendly. The kids are very cute and very smart and it is has been awesome teaching them. I teach writing, grammar, vocabulary, and science from grades 1 to grade 7.
I have had many pleasurable experiences in Seoul ranging from exploring palaces, to takeing subway adventures. I have met many new people some are foreigners many are koreans. I have been playing basketball with a couple of teachers against koreans guys about once a week, and I have enjoyed this.
Going out in Seoul has be a lot of fun provided many laughs and goodtimes for myself and friends here in Seoul. I have watched a Korean film, all in Korean, yet was able to understand the storyline of the movie and found the movie to be good. (I can't tell you the name of the movie because I dont know the name.) I Have a nice apartment and a nice location surounded by mountains in Nowon.
This is my first of many entries onto this webpage, and I will be posting more and more pictures as time goes by.
